 For Those Interested in Managing a Branch

Individuals interested in managing one or more of our branches will quickly learn that AMB has developed a bonus plan that allocates main office overhead so as to benefit you directly in proportion to the profits your branch facilities generate!

AMB has three plans that are used to allocate overhead per location:

Per File - This option is intended to benefit managers of offices with minimum production. Allocation of overhead is at $500 per file with a minimum accrual of $500 monthly.

Flat Fee - This option is an excellent choice for branches that typically close in excess of four loans per month. Allocation of overhead is $1,800 monthly regardless of the number of loans closed.

CAP Plan - A plan that provides the ultimate flexibility for a manager. With the CAP Plan AMB retains 10% of branch revenue accruing at a rate of $2,000 monthly with a $36,000 annual cap. With the CAP Plan you get your own DBA and a separate branch checking account. This is a great option for the small mortgage company that seeks to connect itself with a successful branch operation.

Our branching model is built on the assumption that corporate overhead should be allocated to each branch on the basis of how that branch originates loans. However, we also recognize that there are limits to the amount of branch allocation fees that should be charged to a branch. Our Flat Fee and CAP Plans do exactly this! The Flat Fee option accrues a monthly fee of $1,800 per physical location a manager supervises. We cap our 10% branch allocation fee annually to $36,000 for the first branch a manager runs and $6,000 for each additional geographical location. With our CAP Criteria we all are winners because the branch allocation fee is limited for those branches that produce quality work! Being part of AMB empowers your branch to apply to lend in many states. However, compliance with state law is a real concern for us so we have designed a State By State Instructions page to show you how we expect AMB employees to originate loans in the various states we are licensed in.

As our employed Branch Manager, you play a critical role in determining how you want to run a business. You will need to consider questions like - "How do I generate business?" "Should I grow my business by adding employees to my branch?" "Will I use a specific business name to promote my business?" "How will I manage branch expenses to maximize profits?"

Prior to mid-2008 we allowed branches to exist in residential properties. However, pressure from some state regulations and concerns from HUD and credit bureau agencies we have decided to only have branches in approved commercial space. For individuals who desire to work from home we have introduced our Virtual Loan Officer ("VLO") program that allows you to originate loans for only $500 per file combined with a 13% administrative charge (based on the wages you run through payroll).

If you already lease commercial space, AMB will need to have you and your landlord execute another lease, which can be subordinate to the one you now have. You can choose only to manage yourself or seek out other originators and build a successful sales force to work with.
